Built entirely within Maya_2008 - this is my first ever attempt at building a photorealistic vehicle from nothing but blueprints in CG. Got Lazy after 2 months and decided to tackle tire tread at a later stage (just in case any of you viewing this are anully retentive kinda folk....)
I'm quite proud of this one. . . . actually, I reckon for a first attempt, it KICKS ARSE!!!! Enough gloating tho, I hope you, the viewer, agree with me when I say that the Audi R8 is an awesome car all of its own. Inspiration couldn't be much more available for a Maya vehicle modelling enthusiast. Admittedly, It'll take me another year to generate enough energy to take this kind of project (on my own) on again. |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
